The future of SMHA is assured for the moment, thanks to the efforts of your Admin. Team, but to ensure its survival until our youngest Old Girls reach the age our most senior members have now attained we need to reach out to our 1000+ members and ask for volunteers to assist on the Team. If you have skills in any of the tasks we undertake and even a little spare time please consider offering to assist us.
Penny Harrison (Titheradge, 1969-73)
spent most of her career managing Associations so it was perhaps a foregone conclusion when the School closed in 2009 that she suggested creating a Virtual Association to ensure the survival of SMHA. Penny currently acts as Team Manager as well as moderating the Facebook page & groups. Penny lives in the North of England.
Sian Spencer (Williams, 1967-1977) has worked in both the private and public sectors as an accountant and later administrator. Currently working hard at being retired and enjoying hobbies of singing, photography, drawing and painting. Also enjoys travelling particularly around Europe. Sian still lives in Sussex.
100 Club Administrator
Lis Eastham (Ferguson, 1969-76) qualified as a Catering Manager but a family of three, including twins, necessitated a career change, eventually ending up as an Electro-Optic Sales Engineer. Now 'retired' - though too young for state pension, Lis has lived in Maine-et-Loire, France since 2011.
(Asst. Finance Officer)
Melanie Heidler (Morrison, 1976-84) worked for many years in arts administration. She now “officially” works as secretary for her husband’s company, but is still on the lookout for something exciting! Melanie lives in London with her husband, who hails from Prague, but is often in Sussex visiting her mother. She spends a lot of time at the theatre.
